Govt to boost sports infra in Bihar: Deputy CM Tarakishore Prasad
Deputy CM Tarakishore Prasad felicitated 74 sportspersons of the state at the ‘Bihar Khel Samman 2021-2022’ function organised at Premchand Rangshala here by the art, culture and youth affairs department on the occasion of National Sports Day.
Prasad distributed prize money worth Rs 26.7 lakh among the players. Among the 74 sportspersons who were honoured at the event, 15 were from general and 59 from differently-abled categories. These players, who have excelled in various fields of sports, were given cash prizes, mementos and certificates.
Ranjan added Eklavya State Residential Sports Training Centre scheme is being run for the talented schoolchildren of the state. “So far, 41 centres have been approved in 23 districts – 29 for boys and 12 for girls. Thirty centres are already operational,” he added.
Joint Training Exercise of India and Kazakhstan
The 5th version of the Indo- Kazakhstan Joint Training Exercise, KAZIND-21 will be held from 30th August to 11th September 2021, at Training Node, Aisha Bibi, Kazakhstan.
The joint coaching exercise will raise the bilateral members of the family between India and Kazakhstan Armies. The Exercise is additionally a platform for the Armed Forces of India & Kazakhstan to educate for Counter Insurgency or Counter-Terrorism operations in the mountainous, rural eventualities below UN mandate.
National Sports Day – 29th August
Every year, twenty ninth August is observed as National Sports Day in India. The first National Sports Day used to be celebrated on August 29, 2012, on the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand. E-Shram Portal by Labour Minister
The Ministry of Labour & Employment has launched e-Shram Portal to hyperlink Unorganised Workers with social security schemes being carried out by the Central & State Governments.
Minister for Labour and Employment, Bhupender Yadav has launched the portal where 38 crore Unorganised Workers can register themselves and in turn benefit from various social security schemes.
Every unorganised employee who registers on the eSHRAM Portal will get Rs two Lakh Accidental Insurance cover. (Rs two Lakh on dying or permanent incapacity and Rs 1.0 lakh on partial disability).
Upon registration on the eSHRAM Portal, the employee will get an eSHRAM card with a special 12 digit Universal Account Number (UAN) and will be able to get admission to the benefits of a variety of social security schemes via this Card somewhere anytime.
eSHRAM Portal will help in the introduction of a National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW).
SVEEP Workshop by ECI
The Election Commission of India (ECI) geared up the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Consultation Workshop.
The SVEEP program is the flagship application of the Election Commission of India for voter education & awareness.
The new voters would ship a personalised letter from the Commission when sending out their Voter ID Cards.
The package deal would include a Voter Guide for new voters, a congratulatory letter and a pledge for moral voting.
